The 2017 Philadelphia Rose of a Tralee is Tara Grandich. She currently resides in Drexel Hill where she works in Portfolio Management. Tara has been very fortunate to travel home to Ireland every year to visit her family in County Offaly, where her mother was born.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival is a celebration of Irish Culture and heritage that has been in continuous existence for over 50 years. The mission statement, “connecting the global Irish community”, brings together over 60 Rose Centers across the world—including Philly.

The Rose of Tralee Festival honors and celebrates intelligent, charitable, charismatic women of Irish descent, ages 18-27. For two weeks in August, selected Roses from across the world gather in Ireland. Together, they attend charitable events, meet the public, attend press events, and visit historical sites.
